Faith-Rewarded

March 2012 Daniel Weekend Participants

Our March Daniel Weekend this year was powerful. Twenty more teachers were equipped, empowered and encouraged to live for Christ with new vitality on their campus. Many of the those who attended were already involved in ministry at their school sites, either through a Bible Club or an organized a prayer group.
The various grade-level table groups came up with specific transformational goals. Some concluded that prayer needed to be their central focus. Others made plans to teach students compassion or demonstrate more faith by setting higher goals for themselves. One group concluded that a formal event was necessary to call teachers to renew their vows to God, making a formal commitment, to teach with a higher standard of excellence.
Forty-five days later, these teachers reported that staff and students were being prayed for systematically and the Renewal of Vows event has been scheduled for Saturday morning, September 22nd in Paramount.
In several cases God gave divine appointments in route to accomplish their plan. One teacher was able to explain the significance of Passover and Easter at the request of her students. Another had the opportunity to share concepts of Intelligent Design during science class.
The most memorable report was from Nora, a Daniel alumni, whose principal requested a staff prayer group be started after discovering one of her staff members had been diagnosed with cancer. Nora said that more than half the school staff showed up, held hands and prayed together out loud! Since then they continue to meet weekly for prayer and Nora has been approached outside the group with prayer requests as well. God has been rewarding the faith of those who seek to honor Him.
