CMTA Conference 2011

At the end of April I exhibited for Christian Educators (CEAI) at the Christian Ministries Training Association (CMTA) Conference.

I also taught two workshops. “Grow your Children’s Ministry by Serving the Public School” took place on Friday. In it, we discussed how the church could reach out to schools in their neighborhood by providing after school clubs as a service to the school community.

My Saturday workshop was called, “Starting Your Own Gospel Clown Ministry.” This class is basically an introduction to clowning so I taught the class in clown as Starburst.

This
picture with Forrest Turpen and Carol Cliff was taken on Saturday after the clown ministry class.

Children's Pastor's Conference

CPC which takes place in San Diego on February 4-6 is a wonderful learning experience for children’s ministry specialists! This year, it will cost $600 (including room and board) to attend. This would be a special time for me to hear from God and renew my vision for ministry. If you would like to help me attend, make your check out to CEF and write “Project N-CPC” in the memo. You could also pray for me during this time, that I would be refreshed and I will know God’s direction for the future. Thank you.-Nancy

In Good Company

Earlier this year, Nancy was asked to teach two clowning seminars at the CMTA Convention (a place where many churches get equipped). The clowning seminars were about how to get started in Clown Ministry and when it makes sense to use clowns for your church outreach events. Of course, Starburst was part of all the excitement. She was ready to shine as she taught, networked and exhibited for the Child Evangelism Fellowship Bookstore. It was a privilege to assist others in finding and using their gifts. Above Starburst is pictured with Michael and Eva LaFond, some of the staff from the new Kidhelper Resources. I found I was in good company with others who are committed to building up the ministries of the church as well.
